Reducing Suicide Summit 2011

On Wednesday September 14th, Merseyside & Cheshire agencies gathered to discuss working smarter and saving lives.

As part of CALM’s ongoing strategic work on Merseyside we hosted this event to bring together as many of the key decision makers from across the region to stimulate discussion and make suicide reduction a key part of all of our work.

Often suicide prevention is seen as someone else’s responsibility, the GPs, the A&E department, the police, the PCT, the local council, the voluntary sector and so on…  This event was to make sure we are all doing our bit to reduce the number of people we lose each year in Cheshire & Merseyside.
