‘Every Man’ illustrations

My relationship with food is rather special, and one that can only be explained through a list of key events:
- standing with my head in my hands, unsure of what to do as a saucepan of pasta boils over in front of me.
- eating an ASDA Quiche Lorraine every evening for the majority of my first year at university.
- chips after a night out.
- realising the chicken in the curry I made was still a bit pink so finished it off in the microwave.
- mustering up the courage to carve a roast chicken properly.
- imagining the woman with the soft voice from Masterchef narrating as I’m gutting a squid.
- chips after a night out.
- growing my first courgette.
- cooking the courgette.
- making jam.
- Materchef being the highlight of my week.
- writing an essay about jam.
- celeriac chips after a night out.
- obsessively drawing cupcakes.
- The Great British Bake Off being the highlight of my week.
- crystallizing rosemary leaves to adorn a chocolate cake.
- writing essays about cupcakes.
- baking to dispel an existential crisis.
- parsnip crisps after a night out.
