'Every Man' illustrations: masculinity

Some time last year I recieved some constructive criticism for a snippet of a play I was in, 'The man with the guitar should have... (done such and such.)'

Criticism aside, I was elated because that was the first time I had ever been referred to as a 'man.'

I don't often feel like a 'man', although I do own a pair of balls (physical, not metaphorical). This may come as a surprise to those that know me and know how incredibly manly I am.....................

Well, I must tell you that I have been fooling you the whole time!

I only recently discovered that the Body Shop has a mens section... but I had been buying stuff from there for years. I like nice smelling things.

Sometimes I like to fool people into thinking I'm really manly by attempting to work out at the gym, but I'm really listening to broadway musical songs throughout. 'Defying Gravity' just seems to help with those triceps. ('All I Do Is Dream of You' for Abs.)

When I'm on the tube, I often pretend to read a copy of FHM, masking a copy of 'Sense and Sensibility' underneath.

'Yeah, I am so manly,' I say to myself as I draw stubble on my face with a pen...
