‘Every Man’ illustrations

When I was a kid I used to think that turning 360 degrees would send me into a parallel universe, so whenever I turned a full circle, I’d have to pirouette in the opposite direction to stay in reality. As I got older this compulsion became slightly more grounded in the symmetrical alignment of salt and pepper shakers at the dinner table. Later on, the things I enjoyed seemed to become engrained in my very being so that I thought about them all the time – from Pokemon to Heavy Metal music. Nowadays, I tend to obsess over books, cupcakes and a sense of failure, but every now and then I do a little pirouette and wonder if I’m still in the real world.
