My brother died suddenly last year. He was 52 years old. My brother had a heart attack but really, I believe, died of depression and didn’t even know he had it. He lived his life as a recluse, didn’t work and hardly had any human contract with anyone towards the end of his life. I believe my brother had a breakdown and didn’t even realise it himself. I have good knowledge and interest in mental health. I feel very compasionate about this charity as I believe men don’t always ask for help the same as women can do. Please contact me I want to help!
Hi Gill. So sorry to hear about your brother and thank you so much for offering to help CALM. Our volunteer coordinator will be in touch shortly with details of how you can get involved. It is through support from volunteers such as yourself that enables us to keep our helpline and campaign going and ensures that men have access to support as and when they need it.
