On Friday 31st August 2012, The Scala in Kings Cross will host MAN DOWN in support of CALM (www.thecalmzone.net). The night will feature live music from Two Wounded Birds, VEINS, The Hosts and special guests before Sonny Wharton brings Ibiza to London alongside Ministry of Sound Resident DJ, Lewi Five 0.
Two Wounded Birds will be headlining ‘Man Down’ at the Scala Friday 31st August 2012. Their self-titled debut album was released in June to good critical response, among them music mag giants NME Magazine AND Q Magazine gave the album 8/10 & 4/5 respectively.

THE VEINS
The VEINS have been described as London’s answer to an electronic Strokes. Their songs provide a cynical charm that is reminiscent of a young Morrissey with a nod to the mighty Julian Casablancas.

Having remixed the likes of Fatboy Slim, Frankie Knuckles and The Temper Trap, Sonny Wharton has played sell-out shows at Space, Pacha and Ministry Of Sound. All proceeds from the night will go straight to CALM to support their work and services in London. The event will help push CALM one step closer to expanding its 4 day helpline to 7 days.
