Sometimes I feel that I’m a little too disconnected from reality, and should probably watch the news more. A large amount of the news is comprised of politics, and watching stuff about politics feels a bit like I’m watching season 6 of Lost without having seen any of the previous seasons. At this point I begin to resign myself to the fact that I’ll never understand everything about politics, so I just learn a couple of abstract political terms, enough to get by and convince people that I’m a member of reality.
