We were utterly overwhelmed by the extraordinary efforts of our CALM runners and cheer team at the British 10k this year. London’s streets turned a splendid shade of orange as 130 runners pounded the pavement on Sunday morning, raising over £50k for CALM – an amazing amount that will fund thousands of potentially life saving calls to our helpline and web chat service.
A huge thank you also to our brilliant cheer team, who kept the runners going with their flag waving and whooping, ensuring CALM were by far the loudest and most visible charity there. Fantastic job, well done everyone!
It was also fantastic to meet so many of you in the pub afterwards, as it’s great to put faces to names and thank you personally for your support.
A final thanks to Hannah, Heather and David for taking such brilliant photos, Emma Cooper for her balloon skills, and Emma Norman and Unilever/TMW for the goody bag treats. Last but by no means least, a HUGE thanks to Andy Walker, our volunteer 10k Coordinator, who played such an integral part in making this year such a resounding success. Cheers!
Here’s the gallery of the event. Enjoy and see you next year.
