#TeamCALM take on the Great North Run

On Sunday, World Suicide Prevention Day, 22 #TeamCALM runners donned their neon orange running vests and took to the streets of Tyneside for the 2017 Simply Health Great North Run.

This year saw by far the biggest #TeamCALM turn out at a Great North Run event, and we were over the moon to see so many people in the neon orange CALM vests.

#TeamCALM (and #CALMdog) are ready for the #GreatNorthRun ???

The day began with an early morning meet-up on the steps of Wylam Brewery, where runners (and Iggy the dog) gathered for last minute prep and a photo.

From there, the runners headed for the start line while we pitched up at mile 8 to cheer them on. Check out the video below to see the CALM runners in action.

With all runners well into their 13.1 mile journey, we made tracks for the finish line to greet them on arrival.

A big shout out to Samaritans, who welcomed #TeamCALM to their after party with open… prosecco.

We want to extend a HUGE thanks to everyone (including Iggy the dog) involved in the #TeamCALM Great North Run. Here’s to next year!
