Meet the Moroccan Rollaz!

Nick, Jacob, Carlos, George, Jorge and Mark are the Moroccan Rollaz. Yep, Nick as in Nick Hoult, famous for being in them Hollywood movies. And, yep, that is Jacob Anderson, famous for being Really Good Rapper, Raleigh Ritchie, as well playing Greyworm in Game Of Thrones. All in all, they’re a top bunch.

In January 2018, they will begin a journey of over 1000km in aid of CALM, setting off from a small village in southeastern Morocco and making their way to the Atlantic Ocean, crossing the Sahara Desert and the Atlas Mountains along the way. Oh, and they’ll be doing it all on monkey bikes – 48cc mini beasts with a seat just 22 inches off the ground.

We caught up with the lads – four of them anyway – to ask the burning questions. Who will pack the most stuff? Who’s in charge of the map? Just how will you medicate those chafed arses? And, um, has anyone got a sleeping bag?

Watch the footage below to meet the Moroccan Rollaz and prepare to develop an irrational fear of desert wolves…

You can follow the journey on the Moroccan Rollaz Instagram page. To make a donation, head here.

CALM’s free, confidential, and anonymous helpline and webchat are open every day, 5pm – midnight. If you need support, or know someone that might, more information is available here.
