Britain’s Best Sportive Nelson’s Tour de Test Valley, is back for its seventh year on 15 September. Get your place, they go quick!
After professional snowboarder and all round top gent Nelson Pratt tragically took his own life in 2012, his adoring friends and family decided to do something epic in his honour. Inspired by his love for cycling, great food and even better company, Nelson’s Tour De Test Valley was born.
This now legendary cycle-sportive is CALM’s biggest event, offering stunning 25, 50 and 100 mile routes through the picturesque countryside and villages of West Berkshire and Hampshire.
With 1000 riders, the ride is a super friendly family affair, seeing strangers of all cycling abilities – from kids to seasoned riders – joining Nelson’s friends and family to whizz through lush greenery, past haystacks flanked by cheering CALM supporters, stopping for homemade brownies and great chat. Everyone rounds it all up in a barn with curry, cider, music, hugs and high-fives.

The event has raised over £250k since the first sportive six years back. This year we’re aiming to break the £300,000 mark, and we’d be delighted to have you help us get here. Every mile matters! #RideOnNelly.
