Comedian and ex-prisoner Ali Siddiq takes over CALM Twitter

Follow @thecalmzone to join the live chat from 3pm-5pm on Friday October 26.

Ali Siddiq began his stand-up career while incarcerated in a Texas prison. He now headlines comedy clubs in the U.S. and across the world, sending audiences into hysterics while talking about everything from fatherhood to drugs, grocery shopping to Nigerian strippers.

Life in prison puts an individual at a particularly high risk of suicide, so highlighting the challenges and complications of prison life is crucial for CALM. We’re delighted to welcome Ali to take over CALM Twitter channel to speak about his own experience, and prisons’ impact on men’s mental health.

Ali Siddiq just filmed his Comedy Central Stand-Up Special at the Bell County Jail in Texas. Watch a clip here:

Tweet Ali from 3pm-5pm to ask him anything and everything about prisons, comedy and men’s mental health.

Follow Ali on Twitter and catch his live stand-up show Ali Siddiq Is Bigger Than Bars at London’s Soho Theatre between October 29 and November 3.
