How you can support CALM in 2021

You lot really amped up the creativity this year when it came to raising money for CALM – we saw shaved heads, gaming marathons and even a permanent #TeamCALM tattoo. So with 2021 approaching, why not swap those generic New Year’s resolutions for a challenge you can really get your teeth into? Here’s how you can support CALM over the festive period and kick off the year with that feel-good feeling.

A great excuse to do something you love

Take your passion for food to the next level with a sponsored virtual bake off competition, get bendy with a yoga marathon, or use your love of hiking for a charity walk. We know that different tiers can mean some activities might not be possible, but there are still plenty of ways to get involved, so use your imagination and raise some cash while doing something you love.

Whether you fancy a challenge, or want to remember a loved one, do it for CALM. Since the beginning of the year, the CALM helpline has answered 136,876 calls and chats. It doesn’t matter if your challenge is big or small, or whether you raise five pounds or five hundred pounds, #TeamCALM’s dedication and passion makes it possible to answer those calls. Why not join them?

Let the CALM challenge generator decide

Not sure how you can support CALM? Put your fundraising fate in the hands of the Task Me Anything challenge generator. You’ll be asked eight simple questions about your interests and talents, before being matched with a task that will land in your email inbox five days later. From the brave to the damn right silly, give it a go and take on the unexpected!

Join the team, volunteer with us!

Wherever you are in the UK, you’re welcome to volunteer for CALM. You’ll be joining a team of passionate individuals who use their voice to campaign against living miserably, spreading the CALM message at gigs, theatre productions, festivals and more.

Don’t have loads of free time? Don’t stress. We offer a whole host of opportunities, both online and in person and you’ll be offered in depth training and guidance on how you can support CALM and signpost our life-saving services. Not only that, you’ll gain experience working with us on world-changing campaigns. Find out how to volunteer here.

Put your name down for a Winter Walk

There’s a whole bunch of fundraising events to take part in next year, but if you’re looking to start 2021 off with some positivity, why not sign up to a London Winter Walk and choose to raise money for CALM.

No matter what you’re thinking of taking on in the New Year, you can keep up to date with our campaigns, updates and activities. Get a heads up on events and stuff you can get involved with, and read some top-quality pieces by CALM ambassadors and supporters. Join the CALM mailing list here.
