The night's host, comedian Mark Watson presenting the award to Ruby Fard from TMW Unlimited and Jane Powell, CALM CEO.
CALM was shortlisted for four TSAwards including Charity Of The Year, Volunteer Of The Year, Charity Chief Executive and Corporate Partnership Of The Year, which we won!
In early 2015, CALM partnered up with the male grooming brand Lynx to deliver #BiggerIssues, the biggest male suicide awareness campaign in UK history. Not only did the campaign reach an online audience of 23 million on International Men's Day 2015, it actually increased the level of public awareness of male suicide (as the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45) by 45%.
High-fives all round to everyone for the massive amount of work put into #BiggerIssues, including the incredible team at TMW Unlimited, with stellar support from W Communications, Mindshare, Kinetic and DOOH.com. And of course the thousands of you who helped us spread the shocking stats online.
Of course we had the inevitable fight with TMW, over who got to hold the gong...
And that wasn't all...
CALM's 'Swiss army knife', Hannah Goodwin was highly commended in the Volunteer Of The Year nominations. Hannah has clocked up a massive 300 hours volunteering for CALM. In that time she's taken beautiful photos at muddy festivals, snapped Royals on a police boat on the Thames, and cheered runners in the street. She's as happy taking on 100 mile cycle rides for CALM as she is handing out materials as part of our Street Team. We Love you Hannah!
We were also finalists for the biggie, Charity Of the Year...
All in all, not too shabby. Thanks to Third Sector Awards for a great night, our partners Lynx and TMW for their creativity, ambition and continued support and as always our dedicated supporters who make these achievements possible.
