Running is hugely beneficial to our wellbeing. Sign up to our new nationwide challenge and get moving with mates this April.

If you’ve begun and binned many an exercise regime, you won’t be surprised that 40% of people drop out shortly after starting – but did you know that rate drops to just 6% if people exercise with friends?

Mates motivate. Mates get you off your arse and out the door. Mates help celebrate your successes and laugh with you through the lows. And with a mate along, you’re 100% more likely to have some great chat on the road. That’s science.

This is why we’ve launched #MatesWhoRun. We were inspired by the heart-warming crew of runners of all skill levels that sprouted from our marathon training last year. They not only traded training tips but became friends and built a supportive online community. Now we want you to join, wherever you live in the country, whether you don’t own a pair of trainers or have smashed twenty marathons. Everyone is welcome.

#MatesWhoRun is simple: sign up in a few minutes wherever you are, recruit your crew and go for at least one run a week through April. You’ll reap the benefits,  join our nationwide runners crew and ideally keep your mates running together beyond April… and maybe raise a some funds for CALM along the way.
