Events faqs

Our CALM charity places and their registration fees are non-refundable, as per our Charity Place Terms & Conditions.

If you want to take part in the same event the following year then we'd love to welcome you back to the team, however you will need to register again and pay a new registration fee. This is to help ensure that CALM don't make a loss from being involved with our events and to ensure we can continue to raise as much money as possible to provide our life-saving services.

If you are unable to take part in your event and want to transfer to another event in the same year, please get in touch with our team to discuss your options. Decisions about transferring your place to another event are made on a case-by-case basis and are at the discretion of the Events Team.

Once you've registered on our website, we’ll send you a link to order your #TeamCALM top so you can look the part on the day.

When you order your top, you will have the option to make a suggested donation to cover the cost of your kit, allowing us to use as much of your fundraising as possible to take a stand against suicide.

If you're using a CALM charity place, the fundraising pledge we ask you to raise can be found on each event's webpage. These are set to help us make sure we're able to raise as much as possible at events where we buy charity places, as buying places comes at a high cost to charities and fundraising is essential to ensure we don't lose money on our places.

If you've bought a place directly from an event organiser and would like to use it to fundraise for CALM, then you can set your own target and raise as much as you like.

Whichever way you're taking part, we'll be on hand to support you with every step of your fundraising and you'll have access to our dedicated Fundraising Team and fundraising resources.

Fundraising can sometimes feel daunting, especially if you've never done it before. After you join Team CALM, our Fundraising Team will be on hand to support you in the lead up to your event to help you reach your fundraising target. If you're really struggling, get in touch with us and we'll be able to help.

Yes, the more the merrier! Fundraising as a team is a great way to boost your donations. If you're using our CALM charity places, your team fundraising pledge will be the total of all your individual pledges - for example, a team of 10 who have a £100 pledge per person will have a £1,000 team pledge.

You'll receive information from the event organisers in the weeks leading up to your event via email. Most events also have participant areas available online which will have all the information you need before you head to the start line.

From time to time, we may offer discounts on registration fees for our events. Details for these and when the discount will end are available on the relevant event webpages, or via email and social media. Discount codes are one-time use and non-transferrable.

No, the fundraising pledges we set exclude Gift Aid.
