Fundraise in memory

Fundraise in memory

Fundraising in memory of a loved one can be both a very powerful and very difficult journey. You may find that when you fundraise in memory, it brings up unexpected emotions, or you may find it cathartic and empowering – perhaps even a bit of both. Whatever you feel while fundraising in memory of someone special, we want you to feel supported and comfortable. CALM’s here for you, and if you need further advice or help, please contact us.

How to fundraise in memory

Many people who fundraise for CALM do so in memory of a loved one. If you already know what you’d like to do please let us know at every step who you are fundraising in memory of:

  • Register your plans with us. When asked ‘Is your activity In Memory of someone?’ select ‘yes’ and and tell us their name so we can record your fundraising in their memory
  • When setting up your Just Giving fundraising page, under ‘Tell us about your event’, select the check box ‘I’m doing this in memory of someone’ and you will be able to fill in their details
  • If you have any offline fundraising, when you pay it in, select ‘yes’ when asked ‘Is this fundraising in memory of someone?’ and tell us their name so we can record your fundraising in their memory.
  • If you make a direct donation, when asked ‘Is this donation in memory of someone?’ select yes and tell us their name so we can record your donation in their memory

Walk Against Suicide

Take action in memory of your loved one with the CALM’s Lost Hours Walk. We’re coming together from every corner of the UK to deal with grief differently and defiantly, and to remember our sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, partners and friends.

Create your own 3, 13 or 26 mile Lost Hours Walk route and join hundreds of others as we walk against struggling in silence, against being alone, against living miserably.

Join us as we walk forward, together against suicide with our communities, family and friends. It’s not about the hours walked or the money raised, it’s about uniting to smash the silence around suicide in the UK. It’s time to Walk Against Suicide.
