Join us for the Play and Talk Weekend 2021

8TH - 10TH OCTOBER 2021

THIS WEEKEND GET INVOLVED WITH PLAY & TALK. IT’S SIMPLE. FIND ONE HOUR WITH YOUR MATES OR FAMILY, CHOOSE A GAME, THEN PLAY & TALK. EASY? YES, TOP DOLLAR WAY TO SUPPORT CALM? ALSO YES.

For World Mental Health Day, get together with someone close to you and play something you both love. Link up, tackle Mbappé and Neymar, and tackle those tough conversations too.

Those chats when we’re playing games – when we’re relaxed, comfortable and enjoying ourselves – can be the most rewarding. We call it ‘sideways listening’ – the kinds of chats that just bubble up when you’re on a walk, sitting on the sofa or, yes you guessed it, gaming. Without the pressure of looking someone in the eye, it can make it easier for you to tackle the tough stuff.

But this weekend isn’t all about deep and meaningful convos – it’s more about being there for your mates or family and them being there for you too. Oh, and showing them you’re unbeatable on FIFA 22.

And, as an additional bonus, or should that be powerup, you can support our lifesaving services by raising some money over the weekend too. Not only will you be helping your mates by chatting, you’ll be helping others to access the life-saving conversations they need through our helpline. More about that at the bottom of the page.

JOIN US FOR PLAY & TALK

Joining in is way easier than trying to do a special move on an old Streetfighter game (Quarter Circle Forward + Punch / Down – Forward – Punch, anyone?). There are just 3 simple steps:

  1. Find an hour with your mates, family, and people you like

  2. Pick a game

  3. Play & talk: have a chat in game, on Whatsapp, on the phone or in person. You could also stream it on Twitch.

That’s it.

We’ve teamed up with our mates at UKIE (who are the trade body for the UK’s games and interactive entertainment industry) to get as many people involved as possible.

HELP US FUND MORE CONVERSATIONS
