Welcome to the CALM Lock In. You’ve probably noticed… but things have been a bit weird for a while now. So, while we’ve not been able to leave the house, at CALM we decided to entertain you at home.
That’s why we launched the Lock In.
Whether it’s music, comedy or gaming it’s all about creating a few hours when you can try and forget about the world outside and laugh, sing along or level up – all while raising money to make sure we can be there for the people who need us.
The Lock In
18 acts. 7 hours. 1 epic livestream.
The Lock In was a night we’ll never forget. We got everyone from Arlo Parks, Frank Turner and Oh Wonder through to Phil Wang and Kurupt FM joining us. We even got Chris and Kem to do a pub quiz.
It was like the best Friday night out, all from the comfort of your front room. And it even got a 5 star review from NME.
Watch this video and you’ll be transported back there.
Relive the Lock In
The Lock In was an unforgettable night of big names, big laughs and big tunes. We kept wanting to relive it so we guessed you would too. So here are some of the stand out performances from the night, featuring Arlo Parks, Mark Watson and Years and Years’ Olly Alexander to name just some. Enjoy!
For the latest edition of The Lock In we got an all-star list of people to take their position on the grid and race against each other.
Big names? Yes. Laughs? Loads. Rivalries? Of course. We had Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal from Normal People matching their on-screen chemistry with an on-track rivalry. There was a battle of the funny men with Jon Richardson versus Seann Walsh. And Joe Sugg and Iain Stirling raced and chucked red shells at each other too.
Excited by what you’ve seen? Want to get involved and do your own Lock In Session? We’d bloody love that.
Whether it’s music, comedy or gaming, your Session will not only help people get together (virtually) to have a laugh, a dance or a mosh, but also help raise money so we can answer more people who need us.
We’ve experienced a record surge in demand for our helpline… and during full lockdown our incredible helpline staff answered 21,577 calls and webchats, and directly prevented 93 suicides. £8 is enough to fund one call to our helpline. For the price of a pint, a gig ticket, or a taxi, you can help us support as many people as possible through this challenging time.
