I became aware of CALM on the day of Gary Speed’s death in November 2011 after previously not being aware of their existence. After browsing the website I was blown away by their intentions and mission statement. By day a civil servant and at the next given opportunity I have been fortunate enough to have written for the site and fundraised for the organisation by undertaking a 30km cycle ride along with a summer epic to travel to all 92 football league clubs. I’m one of those people who would have lived in silence all his life and am eternally grateful to CALM for showing the way.
