This November, VANS are partnering with CALM for VANS Checkerboard Day. VANS Checkerboard Day is a global initiative to champion the power of creative expression around the world. And creativity is something CALM can get behind. We know that doing stuff you love - from doodling in your notebook to painting a kick-ass mural, can be great for your mental wellbeing, which is why we’re thrilled to be part of VANS Checkerboard Day in 2020.
We know restrictions make that tough, but whether it’s painting, running or writing a haiku about cats, join us. It’s good for your head.
Getting involved is simple. Just do something creative on November 19th, and join thousands of others around the world doing the same. Studies have shown that getting creative can be great for your mental wellbeing - that’s why here at CALM we’re always getting involved with artsy cool stuff like the Art Collective, and working with The Connor Brothers.
Not sure what to do? Head to the Art Collective page for a CALM brief that’ll get your creative juices flowing - or visit VANS for more ideas.
Take me to the shoes...

Schoph is a longtime supporter of CALM, and is passionate about raising awareness of mental wellbeing and suicide prevention after losing his friend Nelson Pratt.
