Take on the world’s biggest half marathon, famous for its warm North East welcome and unbeatable atmosphere. The iconic 13.1 mile route starts in the centre of Newcastle and will take runners through the city, across the iconic Tyne Bridge, through Gateshead and finishes in South Shields.

Our charity places will be available later in 2023. Register your interest for 2024 and we'll get in touch when place are available.
There is a £35 registration fee and £350 fundraising target.
You must be aged 17+ on the event day to take part.
Got your own place?
If you’ve already got your own place in the Great North Run, we’d love to have you on Team CALM! There’s no minimum fundraising target, just raise as much as you can.

How we’ll support you
Whether it’s your first time running or you’re a seasoned pro, we’ll be right there with you every step of the way. We’ll make sure you have a fantastic experience being on Team CALM. When you join our team, you’ll receive:

Event accessibility
Wheelchair, assisted or self-propelled athletes are welcome at the Great North Run. All wheelchair entrants are started at the back of their waves.
Free places for guides or support runners are available for visually impaired runners. Guides or support runners will also receive a finisher’s medal, t-shirt and recovery bag when they cross the finish line.
