ROM: WHY I’M RUNNING THE MARATHON FOR CALM

"Despite cracking jokes for a living, I’ve had many low points in my life which have hammered home just how important help is when you’re struggling.

I’m not sure where I’d be today if I didn’t get help when I hit rock bottom. In fact, I don’t know if I’d be here at all.

That’s why I’m breaking a lifelong promise to never run a marathon and taking it on for CALM - I want to raise money to make sure that no one going through stuff has to do it alone.”

LUKE'S STORY

“I remember there was one night when I was just sort of sobbing uncontrollably. I was just lost. And I literally had the phone up and I was gonna call CALM, because I felt like I was gonna do something stupid.”

After his relationship broke down Luke felt like he couldn’t go on - but he got the support he needed and is now running the London Marathon for CALM.

DONATE TO LUKE’S RUN

Every day 18 people die by suicide in the UK. And 1 in 5 of us will struggle with suicidal thoughts. CALM is here every day to help more people face tomorrow. But we can’t do it alone. Please donate whatever you can and help us be there for even more people who need us.
