I lost my daughter Kat, she didn't get to celebrate her 24th Birthday. There are so many special memories but just being with her, just being in her universe made you feel like the most special person. She was a spectacular thunderstorm of a girl. I hope the campaign will show that suicide can happen to anyone. It doesn't matter about your culture, your religion, your age, your beliefs. It can be anyone who is affected. And knowing that, is the first step to stopping it from happening. So, talking about suicide, and recognising it as part of our everyday language is hugely important, and I think family & friends of young people need to have those honest conversations, don't be afraid to use the word suicide.
