Tom laughed so much and had a quick wit. He loved laughter, whether it was a belly laugh or a chuckle. He was the funniest kid I’ve met.
Tom was virtually blind in one eye so he struggled with that as a young lad. It really knocked his confidence. Tom was also bullied his whole life because he was ‘different’. But Tom wasn’t different. He was gay. It was no big deal for us as a family, but people can be cruel and they hurt him badly.
Tom loved hard and was a true and loyal friend to those lucky enough to know his friendship. He was so gentle, generous and kind. He loved his little brother George, and protected him every day.
I miss Tom today and every day. He is the best! He is my boy! We will always be together, somehow. Rest easy son. I love you.
