About the event
Part of the Edinburgh Marathon Festival, the fast and flat marathon course is ideal for first time marathon runners or those looking for a new PB. The route takes in some of Edinburgh’s most iconic landmarks as well as offering picturesque views along the East Lothian coastline.
How to enter
Apply for one of our charity places by submitting an application on the Edinburgh Marathon website. There is £35 registration fee and £500 fundraising pledge.
You must be aged 18+ on the event day to take part.
Got your own place?
If you’ve already got your own place in the Edinburgh Marathon, we’d love to have you on Team CALM! There’s no minimum fundraising target, just raise as much as you can. Join Team CALM here.

Whether it’s your first time running or you’re a seasoned pro, we’ll be right there with you every step of the way. We’ll make sure you have a fantastic experience being on Team CALM. When you join our team, you’ll receive:

A dedicated Fundraising Team to support you
A carer, guide or support runner is eligible for a free entry. To do this, support runners should create a MyRunning account with the Edinburgh Marathon to apply for a place, and contact the event organisers before the payment stage in order to receive free entry.
Wheelchairs and handbike users are welcome. Anyone taking part in a wheelchair or handbike must be self-propelled for the entire race.
