CALM's Merry Whatever

MEET NOEL

WHETHER YOU’RE DREADING THE THOUGHT OF VIRTUAL FESTIVITIES, OR RELISHING THE EXCUSE TO EAT TURKEY SANDWICHES IN YOUR PJS – THERE’S NO DOUBT THAT THIS CHRISTMAS IS GOING TO BE A STRANGE ONE.
BUT NO FEAR, WE’VE GOT A MATE WHO CAN GIVE YOU A HAND THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON. HE’S CALLED NOEL (PRONOUNCED LIKE EDMONDS, NOT JOYEUX) AND HE’S A XMAS PRO. YOU’VE MET HIS MATE ALAN BEFORE, AND HIS SAGE WISDOM IS JUST AS IMPORTANT.

SHAKING LOOSE THE WINTER BLUES

Christmas is known for the ho ho ho and the mistletoe (toe toe), but not everyone feels the festive cheer during the festive season.

It’s normal to have ups and downs at Christmas, just like any other time of the year – even more so in 2020. From worrying about budgets, to choosing who to spend your time with – it’s a time that can be full of stresses and struggles. If you’re feeling the winter blues, or just a bit sad at Christmas, you’re not alone.

Not everyone feels the festive cheer when December the 1st rolls round, and that’s ok. If you’re struggling as the Christmas season approaches, here’s some tips and stuff that might help.

HOW TO SUPPORT CALM THIS CHRISTMAS

You lot really amped up the creativity this year when it came to raising money for CALM – we saw shaved heads, gaming marathons and even a permanent #TeamCALM tattoo.

So with 2021 approaching, why not swap those generic New Year’s resolutions for a challenge you can really get your teeth into.

RADIO X MENTAL HEALTH TOOLKIT

2020. Enough said. It’s been a tough one, and that’s an understatement. It’s predicted that 10 million people will need mental health support as a direct consequence of COVID-19. That’s why Radio X and CALM have teamed up to bring you an exclusive podcast series tackling some of the stuff that’s been getting us down – with the help of Nish Kumar, Ed Gamble, and loads more…

DON'T TAKE IT FROM US...

We caught up with our ace crew of CALM ambassadors to find out more about their festive foibles, favourites, and, tbh, just get some warm fuzzy feels.
