When Mellowtone, one of Merseyside’s longest running acoustic showcases,  decided to celebrate 10 years they did it in style.  Not only did they release a compilation CD featuring 18 acoustic / roots / singer-songwriter / folk / blues / country songs from the last decade in Liverpool, they also decided to host a sell-out gig at the beautiful LEAF and raise cash for CALM!

Last November, Dave O Grady, Dave Owen, Silent Sleep, Kaya, Red Sails, Nik Ellis, plus a supergroup made up of members of The Prelude and Atlantic Massey celebrated 10 years of Mellowtone and launched the album, with Monkey, Beaten Tracks DJs and original compere Sam Avery overseeing proceedings.

Promoter Dave McTague had this to say:

“We’ve been long term supporters of CALM and always tried to promote them at our gigs over the years.  It was great to be able to raise money on the night for CALM too, and big thanks to all at LEAF, another long term CALM supporter, for helping us make it such as good night!”
