C.A.L.M Stands For...

Campaign Against Living Miserably. Are you male? Are you living miserably? Are you here because you feel you have a problem with one of the following issues (click here), or to simply get more information or advice? Our website caters for men. Men of any age may find our website useful - research suggests that those that fall into the 15 – 35 year old age bracket are at risk of falling prey to suicide. Suicide is sill the second biggest killer of men aged 15-35, averaging out at about 3 deaths a day. We want fewer deaths. We want to get the message out that Being silent isn't being strong! It's stronger to get help in hard times.

If you need to talk to someone you can call the CALM Helpline on 0800 58 58 58 (Open: Sat to Tues: 5pm til Midnight).

Mental Health

Mental health problems can come about from any number of stresses and worries that all of us have at some time or another in our lives. Perhaps it's relationship problems, homelessness, job stress or money worries.

It's important to recognise when things are getting serious. This is usually when the problem begins to interfere with our ability to cope day to day.

It's also important to remember that, with the right support, most people manage their mental health problems successfully and lead fulfilling lives.
