CALM rocked up to MAN DOWN 2012

This summer CALM rocked on up to MAN DOWN, a night of fantastic live music from the likes of Two Wounded Birds,  Imperial Leisuire, The Hosts, Caan, VEINS and RKZ at London’s historic Scala in Kings Cross.

MAN DOWN was started by a group of CALM supporters who were inspired to create a fundraiser event that would raise people’s awareness of the campaign.

IMPERIAL LEISURE

The MAN DOWN team are part of a community in North London that have already been actively supporting CALM in memory of a friend they lost earlier this year. Since they started, they have collectively raised more than £30,000 for CALM as well as tried to raise their profile in North London, something they intend to continue into 2013.

However, the MAN DOWN team wanted to create an event that was bigger than their community, something that was about more than one person and that wasn’t tied to one particular community or death. Instead the event would be about CALM and raising awareness of the campaign.

The vision for MAN DOWN is to develop the night into an annual event, a mini-festival that grows year on year and will hopefully become a calendar event on the London live music scene.
