DISAPPOINTMAN: The Over-Thinker, Part 3

Previously on the Over-Thinker: Part 2

This past week, I have played host to a battle between over-thinking and indifference. Indulging in multiple coffees has plunged me into a realm where the smallest things are over-thought, followed by a caffeine crash that involves staring at the ceiling and yearning for the comfort of watching Nigel Slater pottering about in his kitchen. I suppose what I yearn for the most is that optimum period where over-thinking and indifference seem to work together in harmony. It is a rare state to achieve, but I find that it seems to occur after going for a run, when one’s head is refreshed and somewhat focused. I’ve also decided to try and drink more green tea to actualise this metaphor, because it contains caffeine but is also good for you… anyway, I know I’m implying a false sense of epic-ness with an ‘Over-Thinking Trilogy,’ but I couldn’t help over-thinking it.
