The spectacular sportive returns!
Nelson’s Tour De Test Valley is a three-route cycle sportive through the stunning Hampshire countryside. The ride was set up by the friends of professional snowboarder and cycling obsessive, Nelson Pratt, who tragically died in 2012. It takes place along routes which Nelson himself loved to cycle.
In the five years that the event has been running, this event has had a massive impact on the help CALM offers to men in crisis…
This September, you can be part of the action
Whether you’re a complete novice or a seasoned pro, there’s a route for you and your friends, named after Nelson’s favourite food..
- Chicken Curry: 40km (25miles)
- Spag Bol: 80km (50miles)
- The Full Monty: 160km (100miles)
Alongside hundreds of other riders, you’ll be whizzing through lush greenery, past haystacks flanked by cheering CALM supporters. You’ll stop for homemade brownies to help you on your way and then round it all up in a barn with curry, music, hugs and high-fives. Check the hair-raising video from last year to get a feel for what’s in store.
Places are going fast! If you and your crew would like to raise awareness of male suicide, and raise some pennies, dig your bike out for the garage and come and ride Nelson’s Tour de Test Valley on 16th September. Ride on Nelly!
