Stu Xander, of Xander and The Peace Pirates says that if it wasn’t for CALM, he wouldn’t be here anymore. His touching cover of the Prince classic ‘Purple Rain’ is his way of giving back and sending a message of hope to those struggling.
After experiencing suicidal thoughts during a rough time of alcohol and drug dependency, Stu Xander made a phone call to the CALM helpline and managed to turn things around.
With his band Xander and the Peace Pirates, and in partnership with ad man (BMB founder) and tech entrepreneur (Velocity founder) Bil Bungay, they’ve recorded a rendition of Purple Rain to raise funds and awareness of CALM. Check out the moving video and download the track here.
